Three Advanced Manufacturing Technology Students Present at RPI

Three seniors, Scott Gordon, Nick Keglovitz and David Palestine, from the Advanced Manufacturing Technology program recently met with students in a Manufacturing Processes and Systems class at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as part of an ongoing collaboration of HVCC and RPI students, who are working together to create a scale model Redhawk helicopter.

The HVCC students, who are in the process of making 300 individual parts for the helicopter cockpit, had the opportunity to showcase what they have been working on and share their progress.

The students from both colleges are learning what it’s like to collaborate on a manufacturing project, while the partnership between HVCC and RPI is opening doors for our students to feel confident about continuing their education and transferring to a four-year school like RPI.
